The Event

Many DiEMers in the Netherlands have been participating in the various protests and demonstrations around the country to show our solidarity with the Palestinian cause and demand our political leaders and institurions show responsibility and stop all complicity in the genocide that has been ravaging Gaza since October last year.

This time in Amsterdam our spokesperson Lucille Cornelius will speak at the protest organised by the Palestijnse Gemeenschap and bring out the DiEM25 message of hope and determined fight for a just future in the region as formulated in the DiEM25's official position. As a native South African she is in a unique position to speak about the power of international isolation of states that violate international law, as DiEM25 does e.g. through the petition to ban Israel from international sports.
